On January 10, 2015 four men’s fellowships, St James, St Mark, Parkview & Bethany Hpt. UMMen came together to have a fund raiser to help support their mission work for the Disabled American Veterans. Together they made and sold 180 quarts of Brunswick stew and raised over $800 in seed money for the dinner they are hosting on March 21th for the Disabled American Veterans coming from the VA Hospital in Hampton. On that date about thirty disabled veterans will enjoy a dinner and entertainment as a simple show of appreciation for their giving to all.
The stew was delicious and the fellowship was great. Why did they do this? They did this because together should and together they can.
Acts 2:44-45;
44. All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.
